GFWC of Holden Beach is a volunteer community service organization, established under the auspices of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC). We are dedicated to serving our community and country, offering opportunity for personal growth and leadership, and promoting friendship and fellowship among our members. Ann Landis, B.J. Stephens, and Club President Peggy Schiavone attended the State Convention in Greensboro, April 25 - 29, 2012. There Ann was inducted as State Recording Secretary, received the Lifetime Membership Award, and received the Bryant Citizenship Bowl for her outstanding work in citizenship and patriotism.. B.J. was named State Club Woman with a Heart.
Our signature fundraiser, Blooming for a Cause, was held on Saturday, April 21, 2012. A packed house enjoyed a superb luncheon and fashion show, as well as auction items, raffle prizes, and much more. Beneficiaries of this charity gala are Providence Home and Hope Harbor. Click here for photos.

On February 13, 2012 six women from GFWC-HB traveled to the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, led by club member Pat Harrington, who is a veteran herself. The women visited veterans, thanked them for their service, and delivered 500 valentines, which were collected by the women of District 7. Pictured here are B.J.
